It’s sunny, it’s hot, and it’s high time to start popsicles! These are “homemade” ice creams, in a few minutes, just as tasty and with a much more interesting nutritional value than the ice creams you will find on the market. They will refresh young and old alike!

Are explains why you start making your own ice cream:

  • Popsicles are ideal for cooling off while enjoying fruit!
  • Nothing to do with the famous “mister freeze” or other brands of popsicles. The latter are generally only composed of sugar water, colorings and flavorings. Don’t be fooled, these are most often simple frozen candies without any nutritional quality.
  • You control the sugar and fat content of your preparations.
  • They are ideal for children (and adults we do not lay).
  • You can vary the composition and the flavors to infinity: fruit, tofu, vegetable drink, yogurt, fruit juice… Dare to try new flavors (blueberries and lemon, pineapple and mint, strawberries and rhubarb, pear and vanilla…)
  • At the time of tasting, pass the Popsicle mold under lukewarm water to facilitate unmolding.
  • The riper your fruit, the sweeter the sweet flavor of the Popsicle.

No Popsicle molds? No problem!

Fill plastic or cardboard cups and cover them with aluminum foil. Use a knife to poke a small hole in the foil in the center of each cup and insert a craft stick. It’s ready!

Multifruit:

For 6 popsicles

Shopping list:

  • 1 kiwi
  • 2 apricots
  • 24 blueberries
  • 24 gooseberries
  • 6 strawberries
  • 20cl of apple juice

In the kitchen:

  • Peel the kiwi and cut it into slices. Book cool.
  • Pit the apricots, cut them into quarters and set aside in the fridge.
  • Hull the strawberries and cut them into 2 or 4 depending on their size.
  • In the Popsicle moulds, add a slice of kiwi, 1 or 2 quarters of apricots, the pieces of strawberries to the bottom and finish with the blueberries and currants.
  • Add apple juice to height and place in the freezer for at least 4 hours. Taste!

With kiwi:

Shopping list for 2 popsicles:

  • 1 kiwi
  • 25g sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

In the kitchen:

Boil the water and the sugar until you get syrup.

Mix the kiwi well after having peeled it

Mix together the kiwi puree and your mixture of water and sugar. Add the lemon juice and mix well.

Add this preparation to your popsicles and place in the freezer for at least 6 hours. Taste!

Raspberry:

Shopping list:

  • 100g raspberries
  • 25g of sugars
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

In the kitchen:

  • Blend your raspberries.
  • Bring the sugar and water to a boil to obtain syrup. Let cool.
  • Mix the fruit purée with the syrup and lemon juice.
  • Place in your popsicles and place in the freezer for at least 6 hours. Taste!

With banana and yogurt:

Shopping list:

  • 75g yogurt
  • 100g banana
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

In the kitchen:

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Fill your popsicles and refrigerate for about 6 hours. Taste!

Tropical:

For 10 popsicles:

Shopping list:

  • 1 can of coconut milk of 200ml
  • 1 can of crushed pineapple of 250g
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • 15g chia seeds

In the kitchen:

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender then pour the mixture obtained into the Popsicle moulds.
  • Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours. Taste!
